The Baton

Interconnect Cable

"Once the cable was installed and thoroughly run in, I was impressed by the bass, which came across as quite full bodied but tuneful- no single note rumble here. Moving up the sonic scale, the mid-range was precisely defined, vocalists and solo instruments had space around them without the spot-lit effect which can sometimes occur. Imaging was good…comparing it to the similarly price Black Rhodium Symphony (?95) the initial impression was that The Baton was more open and slightly more vibrant."

"...just a glance reveals it as a pretty serious bit of wire…the sound is perhaps more notable for its lightness and agility. Bass is there though solid and tuneful, but never overstated. Altogether, this is a well-balanced cable which offers fine performance at a competitive price."

"The Baton is conducting in a different league. I can actually compare it in a relatively meaningful way against the best models…it can be accurately described (as) musical, smooth, sweet and very good, period-not just on a price or value basis. I can rather easily summarise with and feelings about this new Ecosse model interconnect, The Baton. At a value price point just above the rock-bottom bargain models, this cable offers performance that begins to compare with the best on n all-around basis and does nothing poorly."
